Graduated from Ufa Oil Institute.
In 1987-1991 - occupied the posts of Minister deputy, then Minister of USSR oil and gas industry.
Member of International Engineer Academy, Academy of Mining Sciences, State prize-winner. Up to November, 1998 - president of East Oil Company.
At the end of 1998 - appointed head of the company UKOS - Exploration & Production.
