Born in 1954 in Krasnoyarsk region.
Graduated from Lvov Building Technical School and from Tumen Industrial Institute to be an engineer-mechanic on oil&gas pipelines, storing and oil bases.
In 1976-1980 - worked as a master, head of the shop in Zakarpatzhelezobeton.
In 1980-89 - worked on different posts in the trust Spetsneftegazstroy in Surgut.
In 1989-94 - head of the moving mechanized department of the project-production association Neftegazstroyconstruktsia.
In 1994-96 - president of Urainefteservice. In 1996-1997 - president of JSC Lukoil-Transnefteproduct.
In 1997-98 - head of the administration of oil industry reformation in RF Energy Ministry.
Since August, 1998 - president of oil company Slavneft.
