Born on July, 11, 1960.
In 1981 graduated from Krasnodar Polytechnical institute, profession - engineer-technologist.
From 1988 to 1991 worked in Grozny and Krasnodar on a biochemical factory.
In 1992-1995 - president of Lia Oil company (Switzerland) (oil and oil products trading).
In 1995 - president of State enterprise of RF Mintopenergo South Oil Company.
From June, 1996 occupied the post of vice-president on commercial activity, then first vice-president of oil company Sidanko.
From April, 1997 to March, 1998 - president of Sidanko.
From April, 1998 Zia Bazhaev is president of Group Aliance whose stockholders are 15 subjects of RF and two large industrial enterprises of Russia.
In July-August, 1998 - leader of anti-crises program for State oil company Rosneft.
Besides, was in charge of conception of Russian National Oil Company creation, worked on the project of anti-crisis administration of Tomsk oil-chemical factory, on finance-economic development of OAO Vostsibugol, Varyeganneft.
Married, has 3 children.
Died in a traffic accident on March, 9, 2000 together with a Russian journalist Artyom Borovik.
