Born in 1948 in Moscow.
Graduated from the Gubkin Moscow Institute of oil-chemical and gas industry, qualification - oil and gas refinement.
In 1976-81 - occupied different positions on Moscow oil-refining plant.
Since 1984 - occupied leading positions in different departments of oil and gas industry.
From 1992 to 1994 - worked in RF Ministry of power.
Since 1994 - was head of several department of the central administration of the oil company 'SIDANKO', including analytical department.
In spring, 1998 - appointed acting vice-president of 'SIDANKO' on commercial activity.
