He was born in 1968.
He graduated from the Academy of National Economy. He served in Afghanistan after joining the Soviet Army.
From 1989 on he was the Director of the enterprise 'Mirazh'.
1994-1995 - Head of the subsidiary 'LUKOIL-Ufa' in Nizhni Novgorod, 1995-1996 - Head of 'LUKOIL-Nizhni Novgorod'.
From 1996 - Vice-president of the 'Oil Company 'NORSI-Oil'.
Since July 1998 he has been the President of the state company 'Transneft'.
