He was born in 1942 in the village Romodan, Tataria.
In 1966 he graduated from the Moscow Gubkin Oil and Gas Institute with the qualification 'mining engineer'.
In 1967-1968 he occupied leading posts in 'Yuganskneft' (Nefteyugansk).
In 1978-1981 - chief engineer, head of the oil and gas extracting department 'Yuganskneft' of 'Yuganskneftegas'.
In 1981-1983 - chief engineer, deputy general director of 'Yuganskneftegas'.
In 1983-1985 - general director of 'Yuganskneftegas'.
In 1985-1990 - chief engineer, first deputy head of 'Glavtumenneftegas' (Tumen).
In 1995-1997 - president of the Tumen Oil Company.
