Nizhny Novgorod, November 19 - Neftegaz.RU. On November 18 in Nizhny Novgorod President of
LUKOIL Vagit Alekperov had a meeting with the Envoy of the Russian Federation President to the Volga Federal District Igor Komarov and Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Gleb Nikitin.
The parties have discussed the progress of major investment projects of the сompany in the
region, in particular, construction of the residue conversion complex and the planned construction of the polypropylene production complex. The new projects once executed will make a noticeable contribution to strengthening the region's industrial potential and improving its investment climate.
Based on the Cooperation Agreement concluded between the Government of the Nizhny Novgorod Region and LUKOIL the сompany will continue providing its support to charity projects in the region.
During his working visit to
Nizhny Novgorod Vagit Alekperov also visited the construction site of the residue conversion complex at LUKOIL-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez refinery (wholly-owned subsidiary of LUKOIL).
LUKOIL opened a research center for the development of bituminous materials in Kstovo, Nizhny Novgorod Region, today. The most advanced equipment is capable of modelling transport loads and climate conditions regardless of case complexity. Laboratories of the center offer over 70 techniques to test bitumen and bitumen concrete in road surfacing.
