Alexey Miller and Bulgarian Energy Minister discussed potential gas supplies to Europe via Turkish Stream


Moscow, May 17 - Neftegaz.RU. A working meeting between Alexey Miller, CEO of Gazprom, and Temenuzhka Petkova, Minister of Energy of Bulgaria, took place on May 15.

The meeting addressed, inter alia, the prospects of Russian gas supplies to Europe via Turkish Stream. Alexey Miller informed Temenuzhka Petkova of the timely completion of pipelaying for the offshore section of the gas pipeline’s 1st string.

It was noted that Turkish Stream was key to improving the reliability of gas exports to Europe. Temenuzhka Petkova, in turn, spoke about the current state of, and the development plans for, the Bulgarian gas transmission system.

In 2017, Gazprom's gas exports to Bulgaria totaled 3.3 billion cubic meters, an increase of 4.7 % from 2016 (3.2 billion cubic meters). In 2016, Gazprom's gas exports to Bulgaria totaled 3.18 billion cubic meters (a 2.1 % increase from 2015).
