The company will continue to contribute to the strategic development of the region and strengthening of its economic stability, carrying out sporting events, cultural and arts projects, ecological projects, and those designed to restore national traditions of indigenous peoples of the North.
The company has sponsored building of homes for the local people and medical staff of the regional hospital in the township of Tazovsky. It has also built there the Orthodox Church of the Intercession of the Most Holy Mother, as well as chantries in the villages of Gaz-Salé and Antipayuta.
Since 2018, the company has been allocating funds for grant financing of the winners of the Social and Cultural Projects Contest of LUKOIL in Tazovsky Region and the city of Salekhard.
LUKOIL develops several fields in Yamal, including Nakhodkinskoye and Pyakyakhinskoye, a unique oil-and-gas condensate deposit commissioned in 2016. Today, the company is busy with interpretation of the seismic data for Vareyskoye license area.
In its development of assets in the Arctic region, LUKOIL actively introduces environment-protection technologies and applies an environmental management system across the company's structures and units, thus reducing the environmental load. LUKOIL takes part in environmental projects of the regional government, such as waste cleanup on Vilkitsky Island in the Kara Sea or the recently completed scavenging operations on Bely Island.
