Kazakh PM met with ExxonMobil Managing Director
Nur-Sultan, May 29 - Neftegaz.RU. Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin held a meeting with Dinesh Sivasambu, Managing Director of ExxonMobil in Kazakhstan, Kazpravda.kz reported.
As the press service of the PM of Kazakhstan reports, during the meeting, topical issues and promising areas of cooperation in the oil and gas industry were discussed, including in the framework of the joint projects for development of the Tengiz and Kashagan fields.
According to the Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan, this year it is planned to produce about 12.9 million tons of oil and 8 billion m3 of gas at Kashagan.
After reconstruction, oil production was resumed at the field, starting at the level of 70 000 barrels per day. Taking into account the gradual increase, the daily volume will reach 370-400 000 barrels per day.
A major overhaul is also planned for Tengiz field facilities. At the same time, the development of the Kalamkas-sea field together with the Khazar field is being worked out.
It was noted that ExxonMobil is an important partner of Kazakhstan. Close cooperation with the company promotes development of the country's oil sector
