Iran Looks for JV Partner

Indonesian state oil company Pertamina said it is not interested in the offer by Iran to jointly build an oil refinery in Tuban, East Java.

Pertamina Finance Director Alfred A. Rohimone said the project proposed by the Iranian government is not profitable to Pertamina.

The project is estimated to cost nearly US$1 billion.

Pertamina wants cooperation by buying the products of the plant to be built but not involved in financing the project, Alfred said.
