Azeri Energy Investment Up 90%

Total investment in the Azerbaijani oil and gas sector in 2003 added up to $2.76 billion, which is 89.3 per cent more than in 2002. The sector accounted for 76.2 per cent of total investments in the industrial sector.

Oil-refining accounted for $26.4 million, 2.7 times more than in 2002, and $46 million was spent in electricity production.
