No More Preferential Treatment
Some Chinese industries will see energy price discounts come to an end...
Beginning on January 1, 2004 the Chinese government cancelled the preferential policies on oil consumption for some specific sectors, such as the railway system. Previously the railway system was granted a 4% price discount.
At the same time, the government cancelled the discount of 100 yuan/ton for aviation kerosene.
