NIOC also intends to make tenders more attractive, where exploration, appraisal and development of oil blocks are offered all in a package over a span of 25 years. Historically, Iran would tender such operations separately in short-term contracts, which left many foreign developers less interested.

Iran Improves Offerings
Country hopes for international investment in recently discovered blocks...
The National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) will tender exploration and development of 16 oil blocks, marking them the first offers up for grabs outside Iran.
The tenders will be held in The Hague, where representatives of 50 oil entities from around the world are expected to attend a forum on January 28-29.
NIOC also intends to make tenders more attractive, where exploration, appraisal and development of oil blocks are offered all in a package over a span of 25 years. Historically, Iran would tender such operations separately in short-term contracts, which left many foreign developers less interested.
NIOC announced the names of the blocks including Moghan (two blocks), Kuhdasht, Khorramabad, Kermanshah, Bijar, East and West Mokran in the Sea of Oman, Zabol, East Jazmurian, Saravan, Tabas, Garmsar, Saveh, Raz and Marveh Tappeh.
