Pipeline to China

KazMunayGas, the Kazakhstani oil & gas company, plans to start construction of the Atasu-Alashankou pipeline from the center of Kazakhstan to the Chinese border this summer.

The head of KazMunaGas, Uzakbai Karabalin, stated this pipeline will be worked out 'without fail.' Mr. Karabalin also stated that with the oil deficit in China at 'millions of tons,' the company has an opportunity for tremendous profit.
