Pakistan Opens Another Tender
Offer comes after nearly $1 billion in foreign investment flows into country....
The Iranian Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources has invited bids for granting petroleum exploration rights in Balochistan.
Interested parties will submit their bids to the ministry on February 24, 2004 after which it would be seen as whose offer is the best. The ministry will award the contract of the block after evaluating the bids and sign a Petroleum Exploration and Concession Agreement.
More than 18 foreign and local companies are involved in exploration activities in Pakistan. With this, the government has succeeded in attracting more than $911 million investment in oil and gas sectors during the last 18 months.
