Thailand and Iran Continue Negotiations

Thailand is negotiating a 25-year contract for 5 million tonnes of LNG from Iran. Talks are expected to last another six months.

If the price is agreed upon, shipments could start by 2010. Thailand uses 2.7bn cubic feet of natural gas a day. In 12 years, demand is likely to be for 5bn cubic feet.
