The Neftegaz Ukrainy board has decided to establish the Naftegaz Middle East joint venture with Al Jazirah Enterprise for Projects Development & Trading from UAE.
The joint venture will be registered in Abu Dhabi. The representative office of Naftegaz Ukrainy in the Middle East established at the end of 2003 will be relocated from Sharjah to Abu Dhabi.
The primary project of Naftegaz Middle East will be the repair and broadening of the gas pipeline for delivery of natural gas from Qatar to the United Arab Emirates.
Naftegaz Middle East is also going to receive concession for exploration and production of oil and gas at the Elain bloc in Fujairah emirate, as well as in the southern part of the Red Sea in Sudan.
Naftegaz Middle East will conduct geophysical exploration, supply of equipment and materials for oil and gas producing and processing industries, sale of natural gas, oil and petroleum products.
