Azeri President Plays Both Sides

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliev announced that the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline could transport Russian oil in the future. 'I think that the economics of the pipeline do not have any hidden political motives. Once the pipeline goes into operation there will be no negative consequences for our neighbors. On the contrary, in the future the pipeline could likely transport Russian oil,' he said.
