Gazprom and Siemens Join Forces

According to inside sources, a program of joint activity between Russia's Gazprom and Germany's Siemens has been initiated. For 2004 the program includes the execution of joint gas exploration projects, the improvement and technical maintenance of equipment, which is supplied by ?Siemens AG? for JSC ?GAZPROM?, the use of Russian components when making domestic gas equipment, the reconstruction of the Moscow digital communication zone ? JSC ?Gazsvyaz? (100% subsidiary of JSC ?GAZPROM?), etc.

The aim of the joint program is the unification of efforts to promote and execute research and technical developments with solutions aimed at the more effective operation of a single system gas supply in Russia.
