Forty-three people died and three survived when an Iranian aircraft crashed and burst into flames Tuesday in the United Arab Emirates, Sharjah police chief Saleh Ali al-Mutawa said.
"There are 43 bodies and three survivors in critical condition, but this number is not final," said Colonel al-Mutawa. "All casualties are from the plane," he added.
In Tehran, the Iranian civil aviation authority said that a total of 39 passengers and six crew were aboard the plane.
