Deliveries of Russian gas to Belarus were cut off completely yesterday. "Gas has been shipped to Belarus only in sufficient volume to cover transit deliveries," Gazprom press secretary Sergey Kupriyanov said.

He said the reason for the cutoff was the cessation of validity of all contracts for the purchase of gas by Belarus.
