The Iraqis start their bid to qualify for the 2006 World Cup on Wednesday against Uzbekistan in the Uzbek capital of Tashkent.
Despite the difficulties of finding suitable places to practice in the war-scarred nation, coach Bernd Stange, a native of Germany, believes no one should underestimate the Iraqis. "I think my team is ready for the World Cup qualification, but the circumstances of preparation are very hard and tough in Iraq," said Stange
