Iranians Ink Deal with French

The Iranian government, France's Total, and Malaysia's Petronas have singed a cooperation agreement to create a new joint venture called Pars LNG company.

Based on the agreement, the National Iranian Oil Company will hold a 50 per cent share of the Pars LNG company while French Total will have a 30 per cent share and Malaysian Petronas a 20 per cent share.

The LNG production capacity of the venture will be 8 million tons a year. LNG from the company is expected to hit the market within five years.
