The US Department of Defense has awarded Turkish petroleum companies $200 million worth of tenders for the sale of petroleum products in Iraq, according to reports.
The petroleum products to be supplied by the Turkish companies will take the place of part of the cancelled tender of Halliburton which has recently been investigated for overcharging the United States Government for petrol and other fuels in Iraq.
