U.S. and U.K. oil companies have been holding talks with Russia's little-known Soyuzneftegaz oil and gas company for the joint development of the Rafidyan oil field in Iraq, the Soyuzneftegaz Chairman Yury Shafranik told reporters.
Soyuzneftegaz has already chosen its Russian partner, with which it plans to participate in the project, he said declining to name the company.
Soyuzneftegaz has submitted the feasibility studies of the field's development project to the Iraqi government, he said.
