Indonesia Ready for Investors

The Indonesian government has announced the offering of 17 new oil blocks to investors this year, an official said.

Since 2001, the government has signed 26 new oil and gas contracts with investors mainly foreign companies.

Last year, the government offered 17 oil and gas blocks to investors with tender extended until June, 2004.
