Iran Begins Countdown

Iran's Esfahan uranium processing facilities will start test production in 20 days. Announcing the news, the head of the Atomic Energy Organization said, 'the uranium processing plant in Esfahan will produce all the primary compounds in the fuel cycle.'

Mr. Aqazadeh announced that uranium hexafluoride, metal uranium and uranium oxide will be three of the plant's products. Esfahan's uranium processing facility is not among those over which an agreement has been reached with the International Atomic Energy Agency with regard to the suspension of their activities. The agency's inspectors have inspected the project several times.
