Kuwait and Iraq Charging Ahead

Kuwait is close to signing a contract for natural gas with Iraq, well ahead of imports from neighboring Qatar and Iran with which it has been negotiating agreements for several years.

According to a top Kuwaiti oil executve, Kuwait will begin importing a small amount of gas, some 40 million cubic feet per day in the first two years, and then up to 200 million cubic feet per day after that.
