South Korean Giant Gets Sakhalin Deal
Russian project clearly an international operation...
South Korea's Daewoo Engineering & Construction Co. announced it won an order worth US $77.50 million for work at a liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant in Sakhalin, Russia.
The builder said it will take part in steel frame and plumbing construction work from September to October 2007 on new facilities at the plant, being built by Sakhalin Energy Investment Company and Japan's CTSD.
"We have now made a foothold in Sakhalin, where gas and oil field development is brisk, and we expect more orders there," a Daewoo Construction official said.
