A consortium of Malaysian companies are teaming up with Thailand's Sukhothai Petroleum Co Ltd (SPC) in a US$2 billion project involving oil, gas and power generation in southern Thailand.
The Malaysian group, comprising seven locally-incorporated companies, will acquire a 40 per cent stake in SPC, which has been awarded the project by the Thai Government.
Top Corp (Thailand) Co Ltd will take up another 40 per cent, while 20 per cent will remain with existing shareholders.
