Major Iranian Pipeline Planned
Total leading the way in 1 million barrel per day transfer to Gulf.....
A consortium headed by French Total is studying the project for transportation of crude oil from Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan through Iran to the Persian Gulf, according to a source in the Iranian Oil Ministry.
According to the source, it is planned that the aforementioned countries will transport about 1 million barrels of oil per day to the southern provinces of Iran. 500,000 barrels of this quantity would be supplied according to a swap scheme and remaining oil will go as transit.
