Yesterday in Moscow, Russian gas giant Gazprom and the Chechen Republic have signed a cooperation agreement, according to which the republic receives 1.6bn cubic meters of gas in 2004, reported to Prime-Tass the chairman of the Gazprom board Aleksey Miller after the signing.
He said the issue of settling payments for gas supplied by Gazprom was discussed during the signing of the agreement, which was signed on behalf of Chechnya by the president Akhmat Kadyrov.
At present, 95 per cent of Gazprom gas goes to households and 5 per cent to industry.
