New CFO In Gazprom

Russian Gazprom today announced that Gazprom?s Corporate Finance Department head Andrei Kruglov has been promoted to the post of chief financial officer, replacing Boris Yurlov, who has left the company to join the government.

In his new job, Kruglov will oversee Gazprom's financial policy at the same time as continuing to act as head of the company's financial and economic department, Gazprom said. Kruglov studied banking at St.Petersburg University and worked in a number of organizations including Dresdner Bank before joining Gazprom in 2002.

Like Russia's President Putin and Gazprom's CEO Alexei Miller, Kruglov was employed at the mayor's office in St.Petersburg during the 1990's.
