Oceanic Exploration began legal action in Washington in March against ConocoPhillips and accused the Prime Minister of accepting $2.5 million as a graft from ConocoPhillips, which won the rights to explore for oil and gas in the Timor Sea.
Doctor Alkatiri is continuing to deny the accepting any bribes and refusing to say whether he would answer to law suit filed by Oceanic.
