The States, pining for al-Qaeda terrorist Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, operating in Iraq, has decided to raise the reward for him from $10 million to $25 million, according to the State Department.
U.S. State Secretary Colin Powell authorized the increase in the reward offered for information about the terrorist.
Numerous atrocities in Iraq in recent months are ascribed to al-Zarqawi, who has the direct connection to leaders of al-Qaeda.
Zarqawi, a 36-year-old Jordanian, is blamed by the U.S. for the murder in Iraq in May of Nick Berg, a U.S. citizen, whose execution was shown on videotape.
