Kuwaiti and Iraqi oil ministers plan to form a committee to discuss oil operations between the two countries.
Undersecretary of Kuwaiti Energy Ministry Essa Al-Oun said that technicians from Kuwaiti and Iraqi companies will also be invited to the committee.
"A meeting, which was scheduled to be held on July 18, 2004 has been postponed to mid-September," Al-Oun said.
According to the report, Iraqis are demanding a fair treaty on oil operations similar to the one being followed by Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.
Having the second largest oil reserves in the world, Iraq is seeking help from neighbors, such as Syria and Kuwait, to help it revitalize its war-ravaged oil industry.
