Yesterday a Moscow court issued an arrest warrant for one of the top shareholders in Yukos, Leonid B. Nevzlin, because prosecutors charged him with murder and attempted murder.
He is accused of killing of a married couple in 2002. A former Yukos security officer, Aleksei Pichugin, was alleged of executing an order of Nevzlin. He has been in jail since June 2003 on charges that he carried out the killing.
Nevzlin is also charged with ordering attempts on other people's lives, including that of Olga Kostina, the director of communications for the Moscow mayor's office.
They both have denied the charges.
