Appeal Court Crossed Bailiffs' Road

The Russian bailiffs said that they maybe will appeal against an Arbitration Court which upheld a plea by the Yukos and ruled that the Court Bailiff Service levy of about 6.7 billion rubles on the company is invalid.

"We are not making a tragedy out of the court ruling, but we do not yet know what guided the court. After receiving the ruling, we may, possibly, appeal against it," Andrei Belyakov, director of the Russian Justice Ministry court bailiff department, said.

He said that the court ruling will in no way affect work to recover tax debt.
