Russia Will Chase Tax Evaders Anyway

President Putin?s adviser Igor Shuvalov said yesterday at an annual investment conference of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce that the government will continue to use legal measures to liquidate evasion in the country, despite the cases like Yukos? case hurt the country?s image.

?No one wants to repeat the Yukos case again, but?such measures will continue to be used when it comes to taxes. Everyone has to pay taxes, ? he said.
