Russia?s president Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday he reckons upon the development of Russian-U.S. relations.
Speaking at a meeting with the U.S. Secretary Condolisa Rice in Moscow, he said ?we hope the course will be continued from both sides, from the part of the United States in particular.?
Putin said he expects to see his American counterpart George Bush at the 60th anniversary celebrations of victory in The Great Patriotic War on May 9, in Moscow. Rice has arrived in Moscow to prepare Bush?s visit and his meeting with Putin.
The Russian leader noted that he has had professional contacts with Rice for four years.
The Russian president said their last meeting with Bush in Bratislava in February was significant because the two presidents ?signed very important documents? for both countries.
