Russian government raised oil export tariffs on Monday to a new high of $140 per metric ton, surpassing the previous record of $136.2 per ton that was in effect from June 1 to July 31, RIA Novosti agency reported. The new tariff, based on May-June price monitoring, is in effect from Aug. 1.
Russia reviews export tariffs once every two months normally, calculating them taking by a special formula based on the average price of Russia?s crude oil on the international market during the previous two months.
