OPEC Will Increase Output

OPEC Acting General Secretary Shihab-Eldin Adnan said the cartel wants to increase output by just less than two million barrels a day.

OPEC members will announce the increase at their next meeting in Vienna on Sept. 19, he said.

Its members are not interested in record high prices that could trigger a recession.
