Carpathian Gold Inc. has commenced an exploration drilling program on the copper-gold targets on the Oravita licence in southwestern Romania. It is anticipated that approximately 3,000 metres of reverse-circulation and diamond-core drilling will be completed during this year in Romania, with the majority of the drilling on the Oravita licence.
During the summer field season, Carpathian continued to define and outline its drilling targets on the northern portion of the Oravita licence, specifically along the 3.5-kilometre-long Talva-trend copper-gold soil anomaly. Grid mapping, grab sampling and ground geophysics (magnetometer and induced polarization surveys) were completed along this trend. Assay results from this recent work encountered gold grades in the range of 0.07 gram per tonne Au to 35.3 grams per tonne Au and copper grades in the range of 0.31 per cent to 3.79 per cent. See the table below for detailed results. The above sample results are in addition to previously reported results with copper assays ranging from 0.4 per cent to 4.2 per cent Cu and gold assays ranging from 0.11 grams per tonne (g/t) Au to 4.41 g/t Au, and copper and gold mineralization ranging from 0.86 g/t Au to 3.62 g/t Au and 0.45 per cent to 3.52 per cent Cu
