India, Turkey to Have Joint Refinery in Ceyhan

State-run Indian Oil Corp and Turkish Calik Enerji of Turkey have applied for a refinery petrochemicals complex project at Ceyhan.

?We have applied for a license for the project to be built at Ceyhan in Turkey,? an IOC official said today.

The refinery would have an annual capacity of 15 million ton per annum.

The official said once the license is received, consultants will be appointed to conduct a detailed feasibility report on the project.

Calik has estimated the refinery to cost around $4.9 billion.

Last month, Indian Oil decided to partner Calik in a refinery cum petrochemical complex along with a crude pipeline project in a joint venture.
