Brazil, Venezuela to Jointly Produce Gas
Petrobras will also consider on PDVSA production of liquefied natural gas for the purposes of export
Brazilian state oil company Petrobras and Venezuelan state oil holding Petroleos de Venezuela (PDVSA) plan to execute an agreement to incorporate a company for exploration and production of natural gas in the Venezuelan area of Mariscal Sucre, Petrobras International Area Director Nestor Cervero reported.
He said that the initiative envisages investment for the amount of $2 billion.
Petrobras will get about 35 percent of the new company. The remainder will go to Pdvsa. Cervero noted that as part of this project, Petrobras will also consider on PDVSA production of liquefied natural gas for the purposes of export to Brazil.
