ExxonMobil May Close 400 Jobs Refinery
Oil giant ExxonMobil has another two and a half years to decide the future of Port Stanvac refinery
Oil giant ExxonMobil has another two and a half years to decide the future of the mothballed Port Stanvac refinery in Adelaide.
South Australian Treasurer Kevin Foley has released the agreement with Mobil that outlines a timeline of the plant's possible demolition and clean-up.
Mobil ceased operations at the oil refinery in Adelaide's south in 2003, saying the plant was no longer economically viable. The closure cost 400 jobs.
