India's Oil and Natural Gas Corp. Ltd (ONGC) and Russia's state-run Rosneft yesterday signed a comprehensive deal for different joint energy projects.
The agreement was signed by ONGC chairman R.S. Sharma and Rosneft President Sergei Bogdanchikov, ONGC said in a statement issued later, and will expand the two firms' existing ties to third countries.
ONGC Videsh and Rosneft are partners in the Sakhalin-1 oilfield, operated by US oil major ExxonMobil, and are also exploring a joint bid to acquire a stake in the Sakhalin-3 field as and when it is auctioned.
