Ukraine Increases Gas Transit Fee to Russia on the Plea of Russia's Increased Gas Price
She revealed the price, and it was fivefold more than the former transit fee, while Russia is not going to increase the gas price
Ukrainian pro-western Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko has confirmed that during her visit to Moscow which is on schedule on Feb. 21-22, she would try to set a higher fee for Ukraine's transit of Russian natural gas to Europe.
Yulia Tymoshenko said that they would rise the price in proportion to the price of Russian gas for her country. However, earlier she revealed the price, and it was fivefold more than the former transit fee, while Russia is not going to increase the gas price.
"In the same way as we are moving to a market price, we should move toward a market price for the transit of gas," she said.
