OPEC: Oil Price Will be Between $80 and $110

The petroleum prices will range between $80 and $110 per barrel for the rest of 2008, OPEC said Tuesday.

OPEC President Chakib Khelil said the cartel has been under a lot of pressure from consuming nations who wanted to portray the group as being responsible for high oil prices.

He said the problem was really to do with US economic problems and the falling dollar.

OPEC left its output steady at a meeting earlier this month despite calls from consuming countries for more oil to halt the record rally.
